Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your journey in the equestrian world.
I’m a professional rider with a focus on developing young horses and working with those that have behavioral or performance challenges. I also have my own string of young horses that I train for show jumping. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many incredible horses, and each one has taught me something invaluable about patience, trust, and connection.

Q: What inspired you to create Valore Equestrian?
Through my work, I’ve seen countless issues caused directly or indirectly by poorly designed tack, discomfort, behavioral problems, even physical injuries. For me, comfort is non-negotiable. I’ve always been near-obsessive about ensuring every piece of tack fits perfectly before I’m satisfied to ride. That attention to detail and my belief in prioritizing the horse’s well-being were the driving forces behind Valore Equestrian. I wanted to create a brand where elegance and functionality coexist seamlessly.

Q: What sets Valore Equestrian apart from other equestrian brands?
At Valore, we design with the horse in mind first. Every detail, from the materials we use to the way our tack fits, is created to enhance the horse’s comfort and performance. But we also understand that riders want products that are stylish and timeless. Valore combines both, uncompromising comfort for the horse and timeless elegance for the rider.

Q: Why is comfort so important in tack design?
Comfort isn’t just about making the horse happy in the moment, it impacts everything. A comfortable horse is more relaxed, focused, and willing to work. It minimizes behavioral issues and allows the horse to perform at their best. It’s also about long-term health. Ill-fitting tack can cause physical strain and injuries that take years to undo, if ever. Comfort is the foundation of everything I do with my horses, and it’s the foundation of Valore Equestrian.

Q: What has been the biggest challenge in creating Valore Equestrian?
Balancing my work as a rider and trainer with building a brand from scratch has been a huge challenge. It’s a lot of trial and error, finding the right designs, materials, and manufacturers to bring my vision to life. But seeing the final products and knowing they’re making a difference for horses and riders makes it all worthwhile.

Q: How does your experience as a rider influence your designs?
Every product I create comes from a real problem I’ve encountered as a rider. Whether it’s a bridle that distributes pressure more evenly or a saddle pad that doesn’t slip, each design is a solution born from years of experience. I know what it feels like to have tack that hinders rather than helps, and I design everything with that in mind.

Q: What’s your favorite product in the Valore Equestrian collection?
It’s hard to pick just one, but the Freedom Bridle holds a special place for me. It was the first product I created, and it reflects everything Valore stands for, innovative design, comfort, and timeless style. It’s also incredibly rewarding to see how much horses respond positively to it.

Q: What do you hope riders feel when they use Valore products?
I hope they feel proud. Proud to use products that reflect their care for their horse’s well-being and their passion for the sport. I also want them to feel confident, knowing they’re using tack that supports both their horse’s comfort and their own performance.

Q: What’s next for Valore Equestrian?
We’re just getting started! I’m working on expanding the collection with more innovative designs, like saddle pads that set a new standard for stability and comfort. My goal is to continue listening to riders and their needs while staying true to Valore’s mission: creating products that prioritize comfort, performance, and timeless elegance.
